Getting to Nosara
By car: All the
top car rental agencies are represented in San Jose and Liberia, both sites
of international airports. From San Jose the journey is 4 - 5 hours along
the scenic Pan American Highway. From Liberia the journey is 3 hours. There
are plenty of restaurants and shops on both routes for your enjoyment.
By bus: For you budget conscious, early risers, Alfaro Bus Company
departs from San Jose to Nosara daily at 6:00 a.m., leaving from the
Coca-Cola bus terminal, 14th Street and 5th Avenue (Calle 14, Avenida 5).
Fare is about $8.00 and it takes between 6 and 7 hours, depending on traffic
and road conditions. The telephone number is: 2-222-2750 or 2-223-8229. Buy your
ticket one day before your departure.
By airplane:
Sansa and Nature Air both have daily flights into Nosara. Fly into San Jose or Liberia, and then fly on Sansa or Nature Air directly to Nosara. It is just a 45 minute flight.
You can have a rental car waiting for you when you arrive, or we can pick you up.
By van: If you are interested in seeing some scenery but are not up to the drive - we will be happy to help you arrange an air conditioned van to pick you up from either the Liberia or San Jose airport and bring you directly to Campo Alegre.
